Dr. Kat Johnston was born and raised in Fresno, California. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Human Development from the University of California at San Diego. She continued on at UCSD, receiving her Doctor of Medicine from the School of Medicine in 2006. She completed her pediatric residency training at Rady Children’s Hospital, also located in San Diego. Throughout her training, Dr. Johnston has worked extensively with the special needs community. She has spent time volunteering with the Special Olympics, as well as working as a tutor for children with autism. Dr. Johnston recently relocated to Grants Pass with her husband. In her free time, she enjoys reading, swimming, pilates and playing volleyball.
